Tonight
I did a little bit of all of those things. We were busy all day but I had remembered
that Veronica had told me about going out to dinner at a Japanese Restaurant in
town (The Samurai) and we brought another couple with us so together we were
ten and there was not a table big enough for us so they were going to put us in
separate tables but we asked if it was possible to sit at the special room. The
room is one only reserve for people who are willing to spend over $100 per
person but they let us use that room the kind that you take off your shoes and
sit on pillow.
It was a wonderful and it
felt special for Veronica. She is one that needs respite with a special needs
child who she cares all day long. The evening was absolutely fantastic and we
were able to spend time with several of our dear friends who made us laugh and
smile and who made the evening truly enjoyable. It was a fabulously fun
evening and I was truly grateful that I had that “time-out” from normal life to
just have FUN again! We were able to sing happy birthday of course and got some
nice pictures.
Don’t
get so caught up in doing everyday things that you forget to laugh and smile
and play a little. It is amazing how invigorating it can be to just
remember what it is like to have fun in your life. It is good for your
heart and it is good for your soul. It makes you feel more relaxed and
happy and that helps improve your overall health. Don’t let having fun
become buried under a million other priorities. Take this weekend and do
something truly fun and enjoyable. Build a snowman. Go bowling,
Watch a movie, or at least go out to a nice restaurant. Spend time with
friends.
