A farmer knows how life grows
By Bianca Merkley
Before rising
A baby seed nestle in soil
Nourished with water and gentle rays
Seeing harsh, forgotten, thick barren ground
Some think it will never bloom
“Let’s pluck it out” they say
After a short time, the farmer sees that
Nothing appears to be growing underneath
The seed is bad
It can’t be growing
But the farmer waits
Day by day
Until the soil breaks
The seed sprouts
Green shines
The farmer knows
That change takes
time
Trust the soil, the seed, the light
Have faith that all things
Will work out just right
I like this poem because I think that there are times when we just have to give people time.
Con amor,
Vero
