November is spelled Thanksgiving!

May our hearts be full of gratitude in thought and in action this coming month. Thanksgiving in Spanish is a word of action. “Accion de Gracias”

And there is no better month to give thanks and showing gratitude than November because November is spelled Thanksgiving!   This is the perfect month to extend a helping hand to someone in need. Why wait till Christmas!  I woke up this morning giving thanks to my Heavenly Father for all he has given me.

We can always find someone out there who is in greater need than we are.  It’s so easy to get trapped into thinking about our own situation and problems and our own worries, but if we look outward at the needs of others we will find that our own troubles begin to shrink. Each of us have so much to be thankful for.  Life is beautiful.

There is no better cure for stress and worry then to give service to others, and what better way to show our thanks to God for all that we have then to help another being? So remember that as we prepare to celebrate The month of Thanksgiving I thought I would share a few great quotes to help inspire your day and help remind all of us to take time to give thanks.

“This is a wonderful time to be living here on earth. Our opportunities are limitless. While there are some things wrong in the world today, there are many things right, such as teachers who teach, ministers who minister, marriages that make it, parents who sacrifice, and friends who help. We can lift ourselves, and others as well, when we refuse to remain in the realm of negative thought and cultivate within our hearts an attitude of gratitude. If ingratitude be numbered among the serious sins, then gratitude takes its place among the noblest of virtues.” –Thomas Monson

In a few weeks people in the U.S. will be celebrating Thanksgiving. The only holiday design to give thanks and no other country in the world has it. It started as a celebration of hard work and the simple life “… a true folk-festival that speaks the poetry of the turn of the seasons, the beauty of seedtime and harvest, the ripe product of the year – and the deep, deep connection of all these things with God.”     ~Ray Stannard Baker

“God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say “thank you?”   ~William A. Ward

As our dear President Hinkley would say: "Be Grateful"

Con amor,
