The longest short trip ever!

We just took the longest short trip ever and this might sound like a contradiction but it was true. We left on May 23 bound to Salt Lake to spend one day in Utah the next day so on May 24 we went around running errands all day including taking our winter clothes from the storage and looking for Daniel's Argentine documents. We visited family and the Roses who have shown interest in buying our Lehi home. May 24 will be marked in my calendar as one of the most productive days in my life.

The next day we traveled to Buenos Aires. Got in on Sunday morning, checked into the hotel, attended Church, got ready to attend a devotional with the Missionaries at the MTC with Bishop Waddell. The highlight of this day was to see Daniel's nephew Santi there at the MTC how sweet was that!

On Monday was the devotional at the area office with all the employees. Bishop Waddell explained very well the alignment of Priesthood keys and why he was there for just one day. This was Memorial  Day in the U.S. and the Bishop was the only one missing at his family reunion.

For the next three days we went looking for a place to live with no avail. We had found an apartment but when we wanted to close on the deal, they had received a significantly higher offer. We went back looking again and may have found something. We will know until it gets reviewed by some committees.

On Friday on our way to the airport Daniel went to visit Elder Catron a friend from years past. He had a stroke and can't communicate very well but it was a sweet reunion. We took a flight to New York, then to Hong King. That flight was 16 hours long! We are finally on our way to Manila.

It feels odd to think this is the last time we will be visiting the Philippines. We never got to 100 islands or El Nido or even Boracay so maybe on another trip when Daniel retires we will take the time to explore all those beautiful places we couldn't while we were here for almost four years.

Con amor,
Vero
