Don't worry, be happy

Worrying does nothing but cause stress and anxiety and according to WebMD it also has a major effect on our health.  It can cause everything from dizziness to fatigue to headaches and irritability.  It can cause muscle aches, nausea, sweating, trembling, and twitching.  It can lead to digestive disorders, premature heart disease, and even heart attacks. Talk about serious consequences!  It should be the most obvious thing ever to not allow worry into our lives…right?!  But that is often easier said than done.

So I decided to look for something that could serve as a reminder to myself that I shouldn’t allow worry into my life and I came across an awesome little saying:

For every worry under the sun

There is a remedy or there is none.

If there be one, hurry and find it.

If there be none, then never mind it.

So perfectly said! So that saying will be my new reminder of the fact that I am no longer willing to worry about things I have no control over.  If something comes up that I want to change and that can be changed or affected then I will do it – but if something comes up that I have no power to change or affect then I am going to let it go.  Because why would any of us want to choose to voluntarily cause ourselves all those nasty health issues by worrying about things we cannot change??  And frankly, worrying is exhausting! Tomorrow we get to go to Buenos Aires for one week, then back to Manila to send the shipment. What I feel worried about is not been completely ready for the move and I can’t remember what I did with the original copy of my US citizenship certificate. I had it in the office and have misplaced it so I hope it will show up.

“Worrying is like sitting in a rocking chair.  It gives you something to do but it doesn’t get you anywhere.” – English Proverb

So today’s note to myself is... – DON’T WORRY, BE HAPPY!!

Con amor,
Vero
