Visit of Bishop Davies

How wonderful to have spent a day with Bishop Davies. We first picked him up at the airport and the very first thing he did was to give us a hug and took out a gift he purchased in Korea. He gave us a box of fine chocolates. What a sweet gesture to think of us.

We had the VIP people there at the airport to greet him and to take him to the fast lane at immigration so because he came early and the traffic was ideal, we went straight to the Alabong temple site. There he wanted to take a photo of us with him. The temple is in a very beautiful and prominent spot.

After we visited the site, we took him to the hotel for his check-in and later to the nearest chapel. It was fast and testimony meeting and Bishop Davies gave some wonderful remarks at the end of the meeting about a chapter he read in the Book of Mormon and all the corresponding scripture references. The youth were all eager to bear their testimonies since they had just returned from youth conference. After the meeting was over, we came home to have lunch. After we ate, we took him back to the Hotel to rest.

What I day! This day will go into our journals as a special one to remember. This is indeed another tender mercy to have had some private time with our dear Bishop and friend.

Can amor,
Vero
