Elder Oaks visits El Salvador

I remember when I was in El Salvador attending church that they announced Elder Oaks visit with all the members in El Salvador. On October 22 in their stake and alsoThey would have him speak at the National Arena that sits 16,000 people.

That is the biggest enclosed Arena in El Salvador. There is nothing larger than that. The next Arena is outdoors where the soccer team plays. Elder Oaks said that besides speaking at the Conference Center and the Marriott center in Utah that is the next largest venue he has spoken ever to that of a large audience. Amazing what Salvadoran leaders were able to do there.

Yesterday was such a special day for all those who attended those events and also for my niece Paola who is celebrating her first birthday in her mission. I sent her an email and hope she feels of our love during this time that is wonderful but hard at the same time. Alejandro Meraz also shares this day and our granddaughter, Sariah. She is now 15 a quinceanera. If she were in latin America this day would be a big deal!
