Abalon City dump

The Bowens were taking their two daughters to the city dump and the nice thing is that I was also invited. I always wanted to find out more about this foundation.

They provide once a week clean water to bathe the kids, serve them food and brush their teeth and play games with them afterwards. There are about 60 kids who come to this event every Friday morning. This Foundation helps them with getting schools supplies so the kids can finish school. $120 dollars a year sponsors a child to attend school. Some of the things that they use to operate are soap, shampoo, tools, baby powder, baby oil, combs, barrettes, hair pins, elastic bands, tooth brushes and tooth paste. Food items such as bread, fruit, noodles, water, milk, rice. Toys like puzzles, books, play dough, jump ropes, balls, etc.

These type of communities live near the garbage dumps to collect stuff that can be used to exchange for money. They live near the dump and work every day as the garbage trucks bring in what later will be sorted out by what they can sell. The Friday activities are nice so the kids can take a break and do something fun for a change. Today they had show main and fruit. They also were able to make some neckless times made of beads. what I like about this group is that the ladies were very sweet and loving and the children knew what to do when it came time to clean up. No one complain about anything and they were all smiles.

Con amor,

Vero
