Vero's Valentine's

Turn your phone off and spend quality time.

Simple, free and the biggest blessing of all. Put time aside and pop your devices out of reach. Nothing shows someone that you love them more than spending quality time with them.

Handwrite something.

When you love someone, you make time for them and honestly, in this day and age, this means a lot. Get some paper or a nice sheet of card and if you got the time, water color your card and handwrite message. There’s something about a handwritten card that shows someone you love them more than ever!

Leave notes on the bathroom mirror.

I got some heart shape post it notes to stick in our bathroom mirrors, or write little notes and pop it in their drawers or under their pillow – you can’t deny the cuteness of finding notes and it never gets old. Write down memories, things you love about them, things you’d like to do with them or even… create a treasure trail to lead to a big note or gift.

Fill the place or their room with the things they love.

Whether it’s a room full of diet coke, a bed filled with his favorite treats for an early Saturday morning snuggle with blankets and movies in the living room. Create a room filled with joy and then put some time aside to enjoy it together. This is a really simple way to show love and appreciate your loved one!

Make a special meal and put hearts into it.

Make his favorite sugar cookies in the shape of a heart. Whether the hearts are in the table decoration, in the love you put into the cooking or in the presentation of the food itself – show you’ve thought about it. Show someone that you love them by dedicating the time and effort to them.

I bought some love heart cutters a few years back and some love heart eggs and toast for brekkie! Get some heart shape cutters

Head out on a day adventure.

You can get an amazing amount of quality time in with the one you love on just a day out. It doesn’t have to be a fancy weekend or hotel to be special. Pop your coats in the car, stop at the shop for some picnic bits and head to the ocean or mountains. It’s the little things that really show love.

Buy a pack of cards and write down 52 reasons why you love them.

This is one I still have not tried but I did buy some deck of cards at the dollar store.

Book a weekend get- away.

I’m all for exploring the town. It doesn’t have to be expensive. Go to Booking.com something cute and cozy and do a food shop for exquisite dining.

Do a D I Y!

Go to Pinterest search and some DIY ideas.

Print odd your favorite photos and make a scrapbook or a personalized gift.

I have loved making scrapbooks since they were popular and if my house was to be on fire, it would be the first thing I’d grab. There’s nothing more special than having a book of happiness to look at on a rainy day and in this digital age, it’s so uncommon to print off photos. Take the time, selects some favorites and get copies. it’s so easy. It’s something that I have made for others and it shows I care.

I’ve given them as gifts where I write a message in the front of the book and then print off a few photos. If you don’t fancy a book, print onto a mug or a calendar! I’ve created ABC scrapbooks by using words that start with each letter. It’s fun!

con amor,

Vero
