First gathering for Pathway

Today was the very first gathering for Pathway. I did the welcome and chose the Hymn and who would give the opening prayer.  Following my introduction, the other two missionary couples did the presentation and activity. It was a good way to get too know some of those attending the course that work at the office and even some who came from outside.

The first activity was to make a drawing without lilting the pen or retracing a line. There are some who could do it and some who bounden't unless they saw how it could be done.

Next they needed to enter to the page iLearn log for Pathway and everyone had a chance to try it to make sure they could connect via internet.

Next they were given a paper to write 4 things about them and then the teacher read those things for us to guess who they were talking about. Afterwards there was a discussion on why they were taking Pathway. All hands went up and as someone said what you would have said, your hand went  down. Two more questions were asked were people randomly answered them.
The next activity was the explanation of what to expect in the following gatherings were there would be a lead or presenter because each person will get an opportunity to teach. They needed to have a peer partner as well. Another is that for 30 minutes they need to ask someone who is a native or near native speaker to have a conversation for 30 minutes each week.
The last thing discussed was to analyze some of the materials they were going to be using.
I ended up closing the meeting and gave them treats. Now, I know what to expect each time I go and I was so glad I went! The meetings last for 1.5 hours.

Con amor,
Vero
