Thank Heavens for true friends!

Many of us have dear friends in our lives over the years. I can think of a few from childhood that I still love seeing when I go to El Salvador. Those are friends we make when we are so young and lose contact as we grow older but when we see them again it's like time never passed. Those friends are what I consider my good and close friends.

Other friends we make as adults and stay in touch with as long as we are in close proximity to and it is convenient to keep in touch but then over time one moves away or our busy schedules slowly pull us apart and we start to lose touch and even forget they even existed in our lives until someone or something remind us of them. They become our acquaintances.

But there is a special group of friends, they might have been our friends from childhood or some that we just met but they clearly very special because for no rhyme or reason we somehow care about them and they care about us. They are sincere and they want our well being and vice versa. Those that we can ask for help and know they would be there for us. Those are friends we truly care as if they were family. We understand each others hearts. Cry when they cry and are happy when they are happy. We can count them with our fingers where bonds are formed between us that span any distance in proximity and where the bonds run so deep that no amount of time or distance will change the way we feel about them. They are what I call true friends. When one of these comes along. Cherish it!

"A strong friendship doesn't need day conversation doesn't always need togetherness as long as the relationship lives in the heart, true friends will never part."

Last night I was talking to a friend like that. We were chatting on line and I mentioned my apartment for rent and she immediately offered to help me rent it. True friends just do that. They  support us in the good and the bad times. When someone is genuinely your true friend they leave an impression on your heart that will never go away. True friends secure a place in your heart forever. She is so genuine and so caring. I am grateful for these kind of people in our lives. They are the ministering of angels the scriptures talk about. Those people around us to help cheer us up and make this life a little easier. To this true friend and those others out there I dedicate this post. Thank heavens for true friends!

Con amor,
Vero
