Today was the Area council where all the Area Presidency and the DTA and their wives meet with the Area Seventies. Every three months or so we are invited to attend this meeting which is always inspirational and very rewarding.
Elder Tobias told us how when he was first married he and his wife decided to have FHE and to write a journal each Sunday night and how all the children had to do that each week. Journal writing has continued in each of his children's lives to this day and has helped them build their own testimonies. He was referring to a talk given by Elder Chritofferson of our rising generation. Our millennials.
Elder Vicencio spoke of the rescue how so many people are confused by what the Apostates are saying. In this challenging times, we have the right to teach our children. Seek those who need encouragement. If we fail in this, we fail in all!
Elder Villanueva also spoke on teaching about Jesus Christ and his gospel. The emphasis now is to go back to the basics and simplify.
