So much to do in such little time

We got to the Salt Lake airpot on Wednesday September 27th. We needed to come one day earlier than expected to close on our Millcreek home the next day so we were not scheduled to check in the hotel until the 28th and both Andres and Vale were out of town but luckily, Jami came to the rescue and picked us up at the airport to get Vale's car she had left at City Creek. We took our bags to Farmington and said hello to the kids and head over to Mill circle to meet up with Bianca and Joseph. They had been cleaning the house and were almost done when we got there. Bianca left the home immaculately clean for the new owner to move in.

The next day we got up to be at the closing by 10:00 a.m. in Cottonwood Hights. It was great to finally signed all the papers and the Deed to the new owner. The home as of October 28th, 2017 had a new owner. The next thing in the agenda was to meet up with Chris Corroon to look at the apartment #502 and make an offer. We had done so verbally but it was time to put it in writing. We got to signed a few of he papers that very day before we went to have pizza with Bianca and Joseph. They wanted to invite us for lunch. Afterwards we went back to finish up the purchase agreement and checked into the Hotel. What a first day in Utah!

The following day, we got the blood work done for the doctors, went to the bank and a bunch of other things including eating dinner with tia Silvia and tio Jeff before General Conference the next two days. On Monday, Daniel went to his meetings and I went to run a few errands and met up with Bianca to have lunch at roots cafe and that night we went to Tim Slone's home. A tradition he has had for many years. Tuesday and Wednesday were busy attending meetings with the Presiding Bishopric and had our ears checked after all the meeting were over around 3:00 p.m.

On Thursday October 5th we got the new loan in a form of a line of credit, went to our dentist after that and then to sign the papers to buy the City Creek apartment before we went to our appointments with doctor Hales. He again told us to exercise daily for an hour and to eat more fiber to avoid having our cholesterol level was a little too high and to avoid becoming diabetic. Thus far, we are fine with our sugar levels.

The next day was my Colonoscopy and on Saturday the sealing of Norah to Bianca and Joseph. In between we took care of many appointments and running errands. On Saturday, I got my hair done got ready to do the last minute things you do before you travel and at 2:00 p.m. we were picking up the sandwiches for the party that evening. We went to the ceiling, Kai's daughter wedding reception and to see Matias and family all in the same evening. So in other words, we got a lot done. and then it was time to pack our things.

Everything went well, I can't complain but life is not easy nor is without challenges and there was only one sad news I received that broke my heart and at the end that trip ended with a sour note and up more stressful than anything I had experienced since my divorce. All the happiness, all the anticipation and all the excitement went out the window when I heard of some bad news. I have tried not thinking about it too much but it is a huge concern for me and those involved.

Today more than ever, I want to be good enough to be able to have an eternal family. That is bottom line all what this life is all about.

Con amor,
Vero
