Back in Manila

The October Conference trip like always was amazing! We left on September 27th and returned Sunday October 8th but didn't get to Manila until today, October 9th. The trip from Utah to Manila is so long and hard but so worth it if it means that we get to see our babies.

October happens to be one of my favorite months of the year because it is the month we chose to get married and each October we get invited to come to Utah and hear incredible speakers who share amazingly inspiring messages. What a treat it has been for us to celebrate our anniversary- month by listening from the Presiding Bishopric each year for the past nine years.

On October 5th Daniel wrote: “We feel blessed and grateful for the many accomplishments during our visit. In addition to the wonderful spiritual experiences during General Conference and the DTA Seminar, we were able to sell the home in Millcreek and close the purchase of an apartment in City Creek. We also were able to see our doctors and confirm we are both in good health. However, an additional test will be needed in three months to review a concern Doctor Hales has regarding one of my liver’s blood test results. The last doctor’s item on the agenda is Veronica’s colonoscopy schedule for tomorrow.”

Well, the colonoscopy went well. I had a dream the other day and in it, I saw a casket and for sure I thought that was probably me, now I know it was to confirm a tender moment when we were told of Elder Hales passing at our luncheon on Sunday. This past Conference also was extra special and one I will never forget as we witnessed the sealing of Norah to Bianca and Joseph. What a beautiful day to remember.

We are now once again back in Manila getting used to the new time zone. We look forward every year for the chance to see some of you. We constantly pray for each one of you. We miss you and love you so much and can’t wait for it to be December 9th when we shall return. Yep, crazy to think that is only two months away.

Con amor,
Vero
