Friday the 13th

Friday the 13th in October doesn't happen very often. The last one was in 2006. Prior to that on Friday the 13th 2000 and the next October Friday the 13th will be in 2024. I am not superstitious but today I feel lucky and here is why?

was reading a book by Elder Hollad "To My Friends" and in his book he starts each chapter by saying To my friends... and continues by adding to whom he is addressing his remarks. He wrote 21 chapters. Example: To my Friends who love the Lord, who want to change, who have not understood God's grace, who face opposition, who long to believe, who seek and share love, who would be clean, in the army of the Lord, who seek to build Zion, who wish to be true disciples of Christ, of other faiths, who face temptation, who want to move forward, for whom I am so grateful, who are instruments in the hands of God, who stand a witness, who suffer, who seek happiness, who seek strength in the last days, in the covenant, who feel alone. I love reading this book but I din't find anything about those who stray and so today as I studied the Relief Society message I found exactly what I was looking for and this is what it said:

"The reality is that there are no perfect families... " Said President Uchtdorf. "Whatever problems your family is facing, whatever you must do to solve them, the beginning and the end of the solution is charity, the pure love of Christ."

Of those who are not participating fully in the gospel, Linda Burton said: No matter where they are-- on or off the path-- He wants them back home." "However wayward your children might be, ...when you speak or talk to them,do it not in anger, do it not harshly, in a condemning spirit" taught President Joseph F. Smith. "Speak to them kindly."

Elder Brent Nielson of the seventy reiterated the Savior's instruction to those who have 10 pieces of silver and lose one: "Search until you find it. When the lost one is your son or your daughter, your brother or your sister, ...after all we can do, we love that person with all our hearts... "May you and I receive the revelation to know how to best approach too know in our lives who are lost and, when necessary to have the patience and love of our Father in Heaven and His son, Jesus Christ, as we love, watch, and wait for the prodigal."

President Eyring said: "I have prayed with faith that someone I loved would seek and feel the power of the Atonement. I have prayed with faith that human angels would come to their aid, and they came. "God  has devised means to save each of His children."

Yes, that is exactly what I needed today and I was lucky to find it!
