What is your calling in life?

Thoughts on 148 days of quarantine.

Today I watched an episode with Darin Southam who is producing a movie taken from stories found in the Book of Mormon. He went on a mission to El Salvador of all places so immediately feel a connection with him. He is one guy who has found his passion and calling in life. He explained  among other things, how from the time he was young, he had an awakening of some sort when he read The Book of Mormon as a young man that changed his life and a year later when he was 17, his father died from a heart attack. He felt that he became the man of the house.  He feels that it was a tender mercy that a year before his father passed, he had decided to become a disciple of Christ in real life and as an actor he has played the role of Christ in movies. He is really the best Christ character of all times.

I think it's important to stop now and then and ask yourself if you are playing the part we need to play in this life and are we paying enough attention to the impact we have on others? Are our actions making other people's lives better? Or are our actions making other people's lives worse? I think if all of us made the effort to pay attention to the impact we had on others that we could be a constant force for good. We could constantly make sure that we are lifting people up and making situations better and improving things so you don't let yourself slip into doing things that are negative. Focus on being a positive force. I honestly can't wait for this movie to come to be released.

Con amor,

Vero
