Longest vacation ever!!

From July 5th to August 6th I carried everything in two suitcases and I was so ready to unpack! My last day in Santo Domingo was Saturday July 4th. On Sunday we went to Church as the first Sunday of the month, we both bore our testimonies and left to the airport leaving behind all I had known for five and a half years. I said good bye to friends, church members, neighbors and all the wonderful memories in that small island. Daniel need to stay an extra week. I felt I needed to go to see my mom in El Salvador and I am glad I did. I went there from Saturday July 5th to July 12th. I tried to get as much done there those few days but mostly I wanted to spend them with my mom. I worry about her and her bad health. She wasn't feeling well and could't walk a few steps without getting tired. She told me it was reflux. I had a feeling if was something more serious than that so I told her to see a heart specialist. She did and found out she has a damaged heart. She had actually suffered a heart attack in it was a miracle that it didn't killed her.

In Utah we went to Idaho for the weekend and back to Utah and to Denver, Colorado. This time we took Valentina with us. It was  the 24th of July so right after work on the 23rd we started our way over there. 10 hours later we had arrived. A very long trip for poor Daniel I may add, but worth it because Daniel was in heave as soon as he saw the grandkids! Back in Utah we got busy getting ready for our move to Manila. Took care of shots, visas, passports, paying bills, finishing our taxes, doctors appointments, looking at the houses. We are so proud of all three of them. All in very good areas. Met with the Bountiful people for a fence. Met with Fredy and Ramiro to fix the home in Mill Circle and saw the home from the outside in Lehi. These homes are there just in case we ever need them. There is a home for every taste and there is the City Creek apartment. Keeping it costs us about $800 a month so that is why we rent it anytime we get a chance. The other homes luckily so far are paying for themselves. There might be a time when we will exchange those homes for something else but for now, we have kept them.

Analia and Spencer and baby Chris came to visit. Rachael was in town too. So seeing baby Owen and baby Chris together with Sariah, Layna, Danielito and Joseph was fantastic. Daniel couldn't be happier. These is what makes those vacations worthwhile. Soon the time came when we had to leave for Manila. A super long trip. It takes two days getting to Manila since it is a day later for starters. We left at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday July 30th and arrived Friday July 31 around midnight.

This is the end and the beginning. Is like I am realizing little by little, I don't live near my home anymore. I am as far as you can imagine a person could be from the Americas. North, Central or South. This is 12-15 hours difference! Today we left the Hotel in Manila for our new home.
