Our Annual BBQ was fantastic!

Yesterday was the first day of 2019 and to celebrate this January 1st Holiday we invited our friends and neighbors to have lunch with us. Is a tradition we have started and sweet Daniel volunteered to do the BBQ we had Choripan and it was delicious. We did it pot luck style so there would be a lot of food as more people showed up.

We were not sure how many would come but Daniel was prepared for an sea of people to show up, however a large family who came last year was out of town this year so we ended up with extra food. We always end up with more food than we need to so it occurred to me to invite the workers in our building who do the cleaning, maintenance and security. After we were done eating, and everyone had left, I invited them to come in and eat our food and we left them alone.

Oh my goodness, what a treat this was for them! When I came back to pick up the remains. The platters were clean. There was not a spec of food left. Not a single crumb. Yeah! This is wonderful, we thought. The worst part about having people over is all the left overs we have to find room for in the refrigerator but not this time. I hope to remember to this more often. These are the people who look after as and are always at their service but for one day, I served them and I loved the feeling.

Today is also a Holiday in the Philippines so we are just relaxing at home trying to unpack from our last trip. It feels so good to be home.

Con amor,
Vero
