Once is not enough

I loved this past weekend because this is when the Saints in the Philippines get to listen to General Conference since it happened when everyone was asleep, except for a few like us who stayed up throughout the night to listen to the talks as it happened on real time.

Yesterday people who didn’t get a chance to watch it on line went to Church to listen to all the talks so yesterday we didn’t have to get out of the house to attend Church.  We stayed to watch it via internet one more time.  It always provides me a huge pick me up and the talks always help me put life back into perspective and they motivate me to be a better person, and I love the talks where they remind us to reach our divine potential.

Each time I am so amazed at the wonderful speakers who give talks on subjects such as Family History, Plan of Salvation, Faith, the light of Christ, our personal potential, the Godhead, forgiving others, time management, life balance, loving our families, strengthening our relationships, The Holy Ghost, getting your own testimony and to read the Book of Mormon, to name a few. The speakers are always incredible and inspirational. it is one of my favorite weekends of the year. I took notes and have a few favorites. I would say, I loved listening to all and especially to those who we consider our friends: Bishop Causee, Elder Stevenson, Elder Clayton, and Elder Soares. Which talk stood out to you the most?

LDS Living had these quotes from the last April 2017 General Conference I want to share:

“We receive strength according to our faith in Christ.” Quentin Cook.”

Wasn’t that great! Every so often we all need to take a little break to be able to refill our tank to replenish our souls and to refocus on those things that are truly important. That happened yesterday and for that we are truly grateful. We are also grateful for the new announcement of a new Temple in Manila. Daniel knew about it, and kept it a secret until it was announced. He is so good at keeping secrets and that is why people trust him. Hope you all got a chance to listen to Conference and keep listening to those talks over and over for the next six months.

Con amor,
Vero
