Norah is here!

On Monday January 11th around 4:33 p.m. Norah Nicole Merkley made an appearance. She had her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck and came out blue but soon got administered by the doctors and nurses and got to take her first breath. This happens to so many babies that is considered normal. She weighs 6 lbs. 10 Oz. This is Another miracle!  I am so grateful for the fine medical team that took care of this delivery. Norah and Nicole are doing fine!

It is amazing to think a friend did this for Bianca. I don't have words to ever thank Nicole. She is the most sweet and caring woman I have ever known. This birth is not only about baby Norah's debut but also of an amazing over the top act of kindness only heard in fairy tales and fiction movies. Someone who offered to be a surrogate on behalf of a friend who has pregnancy issues is the ultimate act of kindness. Thank you, thank you, Nicole Lundquist Ballou and family. You will be part of me and my family forever.
