What about those things that have not change?

Thoughts on 54 days on quarantine.

We hope all mommas had a wonderful Mother’s Day on Sunday. Motherhood is often a thankless job. Dear young mothers, there are no words to adequately express the tender feelings we have toward you. Doing all what you normally do at home plus helping with schoolwork as well. I can’t imagine juggling all the things you do these pandemic days. It must feel overwhelming at times, but as Elder Uchtdorf said, enjoy the journey!

Zoom and FaceTime has allowed us to take a closer look of what our family is doing. We love watching when the little ones read the scriptures and kneel by their bed every night to say their prayers and you sing lullaby songs. You are all doing a remarkable job as mothers. You love your children with all your heart. You are teaching your children well. You are amazing! …you are enough!

On Monday, we had a devotional on what has not changed with the Church employees. Most people talk about all the things that have changed and focus on the negative, but what about those things that haven’t changed? Like Moses 1:39,  like Our Heavenly Father’s love, like the love for our family, like our commitment to the covenants we have made.

Love,
Vero
